Edmonson County

5/6 Center

In a better effort to expand our NTI Food Service drop-off locations, the Edmonson County School District is expanding our meal drop-off locations to better serve the children in our school district. Please visit this link to review the updated map which includes new drop-off location points to assist you in determining the most convenient location for your family to pickup.

We do ask that you please complete a new feeding submissions form which can be found at this link. If you do not have access to the internet, you can also call the hotline at 270-597-8955. The sooner you submit the form or call the hotline, the quicker we can prepare the accurate number of meals to prepare for delivery. If you have any questions, please contact your school or call the hotline number listed on the website.

Principal's Message

Hello, and welcome to the 2019-20 school year. I can’t say enough how excited I am to begin this journey with the approximately 300 students we welcome through our doors each and every day here at the Edmonson County 5/6 Center. As an Edmonson County alum myself, I take pride in not only our school, but the community as a whole and vow to help lead this school in a direction geared toward growth each and every day.

At the Edmonson County 5/6, we have five pillars we try to incorporate with our kids each and every day. The first pillar is to focus on people and relationships first! Everything else will come, but if we aren’t building genuine, effective relationships than our whole school culture will be affected. We also want to display positivity in everything that we do, and in turn we want to award our students for being positive as well. It is our goal to make on average at least four positive comments to every negative comment to each student in our building, showing them that we are there for them and believe in them regardless of what they are trying to accomplish. The third pillar is effective communication. We want to ensure that we are effectively communicating with our students each day to provide an outstanding learning environment, with each other so we can all be on the same page and have a uniform system within our school, and with you the community so you will know what events and activities are going on in our school each day. Our fourth pillar is to “Get After It.” There will be days when we aren’t feeling our best, or have had something occur outside of school that could easily creap its way into the classroom each day, but we aren’t a school that makes excuses! Instead, we battle adversity, don’t make excuses and will make the most out of each precious minute we have in our building each day. Our last pillar is to simply “Rep EC!” I want our students and staff to be proud of this community and school system, so we should always have our EC Pride on full display!

At the EC 5/6, we want to be the definition of welcoming. Please feel free to follow us on Facebook and Twitter (@TheEC56Center) to stay up to date on all that is happening within our learning community!
